About Cavalry Energy Services

Cavalry Energy Services is an Alberta-based oilfield service company specializing in the protected transportation and handling of acid and other fluids used in oilfield operations.

We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Acid Tank Truck Driver to join our team. This position is well suited to an experienced Class 1 driver who takes pride in their equipment, works safely, communicates well with customers and dispatch, and is comfortable working in the oilfield environment.

Previous acid hauling experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate acid tank trucks to and from oilfield locations.
- Load, transport, and unload acid and other oilfield fluids in accordance with company and customer procedures.
- Safely connect and disconnect hoses, camlocks, valves, and transfer equipment.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Monitor tanker, hoses, fittings, valves, pumps, and related equipment for leaks, damage, or mechanical issues.
- Follow all TDG, transportation, customer, and Cavalry safety requirements.
- Complete FLHAs and follow company SOPs and safe work procedures.
- Properly use required PPE when working around corrosive chemicals.
- Maintain accurate electronic and/or written field tickets, inspection records, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, field supervisors, and other personnel.
- Maintain a clean and professional truck and equipment.




- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Report equipment issues, spills, leaks, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
- Work independently while maintaining communication with dispatch and management.
- Represent Cavalry Energy Services professionally at customer locations.
- Perform other duties associated with oilfield transportation and field operations as required.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Alberta Class 1 driver's licence.
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- Acceptable driver's abstract.
- Ability to legally work in Canada.
- Ability to safely operate tractor/trailer and tanker combinations.
- Strong commitment to safety and following procedures.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Physically capable of performing the duties of a tank truck driver.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, nights, and variable oilfield schedules when required.
- Willingness to travel to various field locations.

Experience & Certifications The following are preferred:

- Previous acid hauling experience.
- Tanker experience.
- Oilfield driving experience.
- Experience hauling corrosive chemicals.
- Experience with chemical transfer systems.
- TDG certification.




- H₂S Alive.
- First Aid/CPR.
- WHMIS.
- Pressure pumping / frac experience.
- Experience working around acid stimulation operations.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.

Acid hauling experience is an asset but is not necessarily required for the right candidate with strong Class 1, tanker, and oilfield experience.
