Technical Analyst, Traffic Development Public Works – Transportation Contract Full-time (9-Month Term) Reporting to the Manager Transportation Development you will be responsible for the receipt and coordination of all external inquiries as well as the tracking and reporting of the various inquiries.

The Technical

Analyst will be responsible for detailed engineering design of roads, especially in the area of Ontario Provincial Standard (OPS) drawings and specifications as well as highway materials, and has strong written and oral communication, project management and interpersonal skills.

Technical

Analyst shall ensure that informed recommendations are made with respect to what types of works are to be permitted within the Region’s right-of-way based on a thorough review of submitted engineering drawings. Establish service levels and timelines for response Track business performance and address deficiencies; Reviewing and processing detailed engineering submissions for all development applications as it relates to property requirements, storm water drainage and proposed construction of accesses and road improvements within the Regional road right-of-way Review and comment on: site plans, plans of subdivisions, committee of adjustment, access requests, detailed engineering design submissions and traffic impact studies Correspond with Councillors, planning consultants, engineering consultants and the general public Work with various developers, consultants and internal staff to provide necessary information as it relates to development applications Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias Successful completion of a degree or diploma in Transportation / Civil Engineering Technology and or Transportation Planning Demonstrated skills and experience in project management and traffic operations Knowledge and understanding of the TAC, OTM, OGDSM and Highway Traffic Act and other relevant legislation Knowledge and understanding of the development and application process,



EA process and traffic forecasting skills Thorough knowledge of computerized traffic engineering applications and methodologies including Synchro and Microstation Strong public relations, communication, organizational, administration and problem-solving skills Excellent computer skills Enrolment into OMERS pension plan. ~ Accrue Vacation on a monthly basis, starting at 3 weeks per annum. ~3 Paid personal days and floating holidays. ~ Flexible hours supporting your wellness and wellbeing ~ Annual performance review and merit increases based on performance ~ Supportive leadership and a culture of respect and inclusion ~ Access to tuition reimbursement and learning and development resources Voluntary enrolment into OMERS pension plan. ~ Accrue Vacation on a monthly basis, starting at 3 weeks per annum. ~3 Paid personal days and floating holidays. ~ Flexible hours supporting your wellness and wellbeing ~ Annual performance review and merit increases based on performance ~ Supportive leadership and a culture of respect and inclusion ~ Access to tuition reimbursement and learning and development resources This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Bramptonworksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
