Teledyne DALSA's products are used worldwide in machine vision, document scanning, image capture, surveillance, process monitoring, manufacturing inspection, medical imaging, and multimedia.Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesThe Space & Defense group develops both full custom and semi-custom image sensors, focal plane arrays, and cameras for Airborne & Space applications.

As the Technical Leader of one or more projects, you will be responsible for their overall technical success by ensuring the final product meets customer specifications, and ensuring technical risk is managed/mitigated. Working hand-in-hand with the Project Manager, you will lead a team that may include sensor/electronics/mechanical design specialists, process engineers, and test specialists.

The Technical

Leader must also interact with other Teledyne groups including manufacturing, purchasing,



and CMOS development.What You Will Do:Work with the Program Manager and technical team to execute on project deliverables and manage technical riskProvide customer technical support and aid in the integration of the sensor into customer electronicsInterface with the various technical teams (Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Test Engineering, Electronics, CMOS, etc) to ensure technical specifications are metEnsure project/Teledyne Product Assurance requirements are metCoordinate sensor & camera build activities, environmental/acceptance testing, and review TRR reports/analysis with Test EngineeringTo be successful in this role, what we're looking for in you is:Broad knowledge of systems engineering, process engineering, electronics design, mechanical design, and opticsUnderstanding of semiconductor theory and CMOS image sensorsMust be a robust team player, as well as be able to work independentlyMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Report writing is essential.Understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Reliability engineeringExperience preparing & revising technical reports and project documentsWhat You Need:Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Physics/Nanotechnology/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalentAt least 5 years of design/development experienceStrong, proven experience leading/managing a technical project and driving technology developmentProven experience working within a large multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills are requiredExperience evaluating risk and driving changeExperience providing customer with technical guidance with support from technical expertsProven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlinesEligible for Controlled Goods security clearanceThe ideal candidate will also have:Experience with ECSS and MIL standardsStrong Technical Program Management experienceProven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlinesExperience leading junior designers and test specialistsExperience with the Space systemsExperience with CCD/CMOS image sensors or camerasOccasional travel may be expected to support new customers and product introduction.Strong candidates missing a few of the ideal requirements will be considered.What Teledyne offers you:Competitive compensation and comprehensive health benefitsProgressive vacation plan and paid holidaysRetirement savings plans with company matchEducational assistance and career development supportOpportunities to work on globally impactful technologiesWhat happens next:Apply online and our Talent Acquisition team will review your application.
