Role Description The Technicien Sénior en câblage Structuré is a full-time, on-site role based in Longueuil, QC. This role involves planning, installing, and maintaining structured cabling systems for commercial and industrial projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project specifications. The technician will interpret technical drawings, coordinate with project managers and site teams, and troubleshoot cabling and connectivity issues.

Daily tasks include performing cable terminations, testing and documenting network infrastructure, and supporting integration with other electrical and technology systems.



The position also requires mentoring junior technicians, promoting safe work practices, and contributing to continuous improvement of installation methods and quality control.

Qualifications

- Ability to interpret and produce Technical Drawing and Drawing documents relevant to structured cabling projects.
- Knowledge of Structural Engineering principles as they relate to cable routing, supports, and building infrastructure.
- Experience with Steel Detailing for cable trays, racks, supports, and related hardware coordination.
- Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools for planning, coordinating, and documenting cabling layouts.
- Strong understanding of structured cabling standards (e.g., fiber, copper), testing methodologies, and certification processes.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in telecommunications, electrical technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial or industrial cabling installations, including on-site coordination.
- Ability to read construction plans, work safely in accordance with company and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- French language proficiency required; English language skills considered an asset.
