Our departments include Employment, Justice, Mental Health and Addictions, and Housing. We are recruiting for a Temporary Full Time Crisis Counsellor .

The Crisis

Phone and Walk-in Services provide immediate support and/or counseling for individuals experiencing mental health, addictions, or situational crisis for all ages.

The Crisis

Counsellor will assess each situation to determine the best way to help. As a Crisis Counsellor for our phone and walk-in services, you will respond to client needs by: Providing risk assessments and referrals Liaising with resources, supports and referral sources We are also a partner agency with 9-8-8, Canada’s official three-digit national helpline for suicide prevention and emotional distress.

The Crisis

Counsellor will provide immediate assessment and support to individuals who call the 9-8-8 call line. Have a college diploma in the Human/Social Services field,



with a University Degree in a related Social Sciences preferred Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases Starting at $24.74 per hour. Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and travel insurance, with options fully paid for Full Time staff.

Time off: 60 hours of personal leave, and 15 hours of wellness time (pro-rated first year).
