Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage daily operations at our Trail location, including safe and efficient rail and truck receiving, loading, unloading, and product handling
- Plan and oversee operations, projects, staffing, and resources to control costs and maintain quality, safety, and service standards
- Lead and reinforce a proactive safety culture by setting clear expectations across terminal operations, hired contractors, and service providers
- Coordinate railcar movements, truck loading and receiving, product transfers, training, preventive maintenance, and site readiness activities
- Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, policies, and site processes in consultation with management
- Coordinate with relevant departments and stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and timely terminal operations, including product movement, carrier scheduling, customer service, maintenance, and issue resolution
- Maintain site documentation for safety, rail and truck handling, operating procedures, contractors, and visitors
- Support dispatch operations, including providing coverage and relief as needed
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, safety, transportation, rail, and local/provincial/federal operating requirements
- Respond to operational, safety, carrier, or customer issues outside normal business hours, as required to support terminal operations




- Ensure the use of applications and software solutions by internal and external stakeholders for the safety and efficiency of the operations.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the local team and promote operational excellence

Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent operational experience may be considered
- 5 to 8 years of experience in terminal operations, logistics, transloading, warehousing, rail, trucking, or a comparable industrial environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate a vehicle safely and in compliance with company policies
- Must be able to meet third-party site access and safety requirements, including adherence to PPE standards
- Proven ability to lead teams while managing planning, scheduling, costs, quality, and safety performance
- Robust communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with regulatory agencies, customers, rail carriers, trucking providers, contractors, and service partners
- Knowledge of Canadian occupational health and safety, transportation, and environmental requirements preferred
- Mechanical aptitude to identify and recommend repairs for terminal handling equipment

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
