Traveller Support Specialist (Part-Time)

Employment Type: Part-Time / Temporary / On-site

Hours: 4 Hours a day, Monday to Friday

Starting Date: October 1 st .

Location: Toronto, ON,

Salary: $25/h

This is a temporary position requiring Part-time hours. Employees are expected to work in the office on scheduled days. Limited work-from-home flexibility may be available based on business needs and team requirements. This is not a fully remote role.

EF Educational Tours helps teachers change their students’ lives through educational travel. Our mission is to open the world through education by helping people see new places,

experience new cultures, and learn new things about the world and themselves.

As an Administrative Support Specialist, you’ll support the day-to-day administrative and financial operations behind every traveller’s journey. You’ll process applications, payments, refunds, and invoices with care and accuracy, because a correctly entered application and a clean account are what a smooth trip is built on.

This role is a strong fit for a recent graduate, a university student whose schedule allows full-time hours (think co-op term, gap semester, or a light final semester), or anyone early in their career who wants real experience in administration, customer operations, billing, and finance inside a global organization.

One thing we want to be upfront about: this is a temporary contract with a defined end date, and continued employment afterward is not guaranteed. What is guaranteed is genuine training, real responsibility, and experience you can point to. Strong performers may be considered for future openings across EF, and several teams here started people exactly this way.

What You’ll Do

We’ll be counting on you to:

- - Accurately enter and process customer and traveller applications into internal systems
- - Review applications and supporting information for completeness and accuracy
- - Process customer payments, refunds,

and account adjustments in accordance with company policies (with a second review on every transaction while you’re learning, so you’re set up to get it right)
- - Create, issue, and maintain customer invoices
- - Maintain accurate customer account information and make updates as required
- - Assist with account reconciliation and resolving payment or billing discrepancies
- - Respond to administrative and account-related inquiries by email
- - Once trained and approved, make outbound customer calls such as payment reminders and follow-ups
- - Work closely with the Traveller Support, sales, finance, and operations teams to keep processes moving
- - Escalate discrepancies, payment issues, or complex requests to the right team member when required

Who You Are People from different backgrounds can thrive in this role. What they have in common is that they are:

- -Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- - Comfortable working with numbers, payments, invoices, and financial information
- - Accurate and thorough when entering information into computer systems
- - Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities while meeting deadlines
- - Quick to learn new software systems and databases
- - A clear and professional communicator, especially in writing
- - Reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable asking questions when unsure
- - A positive, collaborative team player who takes ownership and follows tasks through
- - Currently authorized to work in Canada
- - Fluent in English (bilingual French is an asset, but not required)

- - Passionate about travel (bonus if you or a family member have travelled on a student tour)

Why You’ll Love Working Here Work in our light-filled, conveniently located downtown Toronto office where you’ll be part of a fun, quick-paced, and collaborative team working together to make an impact. You’ll get structured onboarding from day one, including training on our platforms, our booking conditions, and the quality standards our Traveller Support team is coached to. You’ll leave this contract with practical, transferable experience in administration, operations, billing, and customer support.

You can also expect

- - A collaborative and supportive team environment with a dedicated trainer
- - Training on real systems used by a global education and travel organization
- - Discounts at local venues and businesses
- - Experience that can support future opportunities within administration, operations, finance, customer support, and other areas of the organization
