About the Role

Tutoring Sarnia is looking for enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and reliable Tutors to join our team. Tutors will provide personalized one-on-one and small-group tutoring to high school students, helping them improve their academic performance, strengthen their understanding of course material, and prepare for tests and exams.

We are currently hiring tutors for high school subjects including:

- Mathematics
- Science
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- English
- French
- History
- Geography

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the Ontario high school curriculum, communicates concepts clearly, and can adapt their teaching approach to meet each student's individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

- Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring to high school students
- Explain high school course concepts clearly and effectively
- Assist students with homework, assignments, and projects
- Prepare students for tests, exams, and assessments
- Help students develop effective study and learning strategies
- Identify areas of difficulty and provide targeted academic support
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create a positive, encouraging, and professional learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students and parents/guardians when required

Qualifications
- Strong academic knowledge in one or more high school subjects
- Familiarity with the Ontario high school curriculum
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, dependable, and professional
- Strong organizational and time-management skills




- Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is an asset
- Passion for education and helping students achieve their academic goals
