Rodeo FX is looking for a User Experience Specialist to enhance how our visual effects artists interact with technology. This role emphasizes collaboration between creative and technical teams to refine tools and workflows. In this contract role, you will directly impact the artist experience by bridging gaps between technology and creativity.

With over five years of UX research/design experience in VFX or content creation software, you'll conduct user research, usability testing, and workflow analysis to identify challenges and opportunities. Advocating for artists throughout tool and workflow development will be a crucial aspect of your work. Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct workflow studies and usability testing
- Develop user-friendly interfaces and workflows




- Establish telemetry and UX metrics for internal tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Synthesize user feedback into actionable improvements

Requirements:

- 5+ years of UX experience in VFX or gaming
- Familiarity with DCCs like Maya or Houdini
- Solid analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with UX design tools such as Figma
- Technical background in software engineering or related fields
