Location: Western Zone, South Shore Regional Hospital Department: FMS Environmental Services SS Temporary Hourly PT long-assignment (80%) x 1 Union: CUPE Support Position Posting Closing Date: 9-Sep-26 Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Facility Support Services, the Environmental Service Worker maintains a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients, families, staff and visitors.
The Environmental Services
Worker is responsible for cleaning all units as assigned, including patient rooms and public areas.
This includes but is not limited to: mopping, dusting and vacuuming furniture, floors and stairways, buffing, scrubbing and refinishing floors, moving and arranging furniture and changing curtains and drapes.

Worker ensures that the principles and practices that guide our work such as the mission, vision, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and inter-professional collaboration are integrated within the services they provide and through the messages they deliver. Grade 12 or equivalent work experience Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practices and organizational health Travel to other sites may be required. Equipment operated includes Taski spray buffers, burnishers,
