0.2 Itinerant Junior High Human Ecology BULLETIN NUMBER: 519/T/26 DATE POSTED: September 10, 2026 SCHOOL: WINDSOR PARK COLLEGIATE – with travel to other locations as required COMMENCING: As soon as can be arranged POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Louis Riel School Division is looking for teachers in permanent positions and varied terms from Grade 7 – Grade 12. The Division provides education to over 17,500 students in 41 schools in a predominantly residential and urban environment, and aspires to develop competent, educated and compassionate individuals who value learning and strive to achieve their full potential while pursuing the common good.This teaching position requires an individual who embraces our divisional Multi Year Strategic Plan through collaboration and effective, inclusive educational practices that are student centered and data driven.

- Demonstrates understanding of curriculum and use of data in planning.
- Demonstrates effective use of ICT as a teaching tool.

- Practice to develop and implement effective assessment strategies.

- Demonstrates use of learner centred assessment strategies.
- Demonstrates use of assessment data to inform instruction.

- Commitment to professional development.

- Demonstrates commitment to professional learning through the application of learning to their practice.
- Ability to make connections between MYSP and their qualified learning.
- Ability to critically reflect on practice to inform professional growth, particularly around inclusive programming.

QUALIFICATIONS & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

- Manitoba Teaching Certificate.
- Must have related Education to Human Ecology such as:




- Bachelor of Education with a specialization in health promotion, family health, human nutrition, environmental design, and/or textiles/clothing and design courses.
- Bachelor of Human Ecology, Bachelor of Home Economics, Bachelor of Human Ecology in Family Social Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Human Nutritional Sciences, Bachelor of Health Studies, Bachelor of Environmental Design.
- Specialized studies from an undergraduate degree program or additional post-secondary/professional development coursework from health promotion and education, family health, human nutritional sciences, environmental design, and textiles/clothing and design.

- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry.
- Respect In School or Commit To Kids certification.
- Review and comply with divisional policies and guidelines.
