This rewarding role within the Community Safety Division emphasizes building supportive relationships with youth involved in or at risk of youth criminal justice involvement.
Responsibilities include coordinating referrals, conducting intake interviews, and developing individualized service plans to promote rehabilitation and reintegration. You'll also connect youth to essential community resources and opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop trust-based relationships with youth aged 12 to 17
- Coordinate youth referrals with community partners
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and prepare service plans
- Provide one-on-one mentorship and systems navigation
- Facilitate access to community programs and services Requirements:
- Diploma in Child and Youth Care or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in youth outreach
- Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s Licence
- Standard First Aid and CPR Certification
