The Consumer Protection Division (CPD) of the Financial and Consumer Affair Authority (FCAA) protects consumers by regulatingthe fair trade in goods and services between customers and businesses when the purchases are for personal, household or family use.This includes market regulation, sector-specific business and salesperson licensing, complaint investigation, education initiatives, and enforcement action. Industries within Saskatchewan that CPD oversee include motor vehicle dealers, direct sellers, collection agents and auction companies.As the Executive Director of the divisions, you will:
- Providestrategic direction to the division in the administration ofeleven Acts and Regulations associated with consumer protection.
- Lead the development of policies and practices so that the regulatory framework for consumer transactions is current and appropriate for the marketplace; and
- Participate in the development and implementation of the FCAA’s strategic plan as a senior member of the FCAA management team.
