Job Title: Forklift Operator – Night Shift
Job Description
This night-shift forklift operator role works on the warehouse side of a production facility, moving finished products from the production area into racking and onto trailers. You will spend the majority of your shift operating a stand-up forklift, palletizing and wrapping boxes of chips, handling inbound and outbound orders, and using a warehouse management system to manage inventory and customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Operate a stand-up forklift for approximately 70–80% of the shift to move finished product throughout the warehouse.
- Rack large skids in tall racking systems safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload docked trailers using a stand-up forklift and other material handling equipment as required.
- Pull customer orders accurately from racking and staging areas using RF scanners and the warehouse management system.
- Receive inbound orders in the warehouse management system, including scanning, counting, and verifying inventory.
- Handle materials weighing approximately 10–20 lbs as part of daily tasks.
- Follow inventory procedures to maintain accurate stock counts and locations.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness requirements within the facility.
- Comply with all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe forklift operating practices.
- Complete a 2-week training period on the day shift to learn processes, systems, and safety protocols before moving to nights.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of stand-up forklift experience on Crown brand equipment, preferably dock stocker or reach, OR 3+ years of experience on standard Raymond reach or dockstocker forklifts.
- Proficiency operating a stand-up forklift in a warehouse environment, including racking, loading, and unloading.
- Material handling experience, including palletizing, loading, and unloading skids and trailers.
- Basic experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or comparable computer-based inventory systems.
- Ability to use RF scanners for picking, receiving, and inventory tasks.
- Inventory handling experience, including counting, verifying, and tracking stock.
- Ability to lift and handle items weighing approximately 10–20 lbs on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours during the shift.
- Willingness and ability to work third shift (11:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a manufacturing or similarly clean, regulated warehouse environment is an asset.
- Comfort working in a warm environment near production fryers, while primarily operating in adjacent warehouse areas.
- Strong attention to detail when palletizing, wrapping, and scanning products.
- Reliability and consistency in following safety, hygiene, and inventory procedures.
- Willingness to complete a 2-week training period on a day shift schedule (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
