Join Shared Health as a Diet Aide in the Nutrition and Food Services unit, where you'll ensure safe food handling and accurate meal assembly in an in-person role.
In this part time position, you'll play a vital role in patient care by preparing and distributing meal trays according to portion sizes. Your responsibilities will include stocking supplies and cleaning service areas, with a strong focus on food service quality. A valid Food Handler's certificate is mandatory for this position, and preference will be given to applicants with Indigenous language skills and cultural knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and assemble patient meal trays accurately
• Stock and replenish food supplies in designated areas
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and workspaces
• Deliver meal carts to specified locations
• Participate in Quality Assurance Programs
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a food service role
• Valid Food Handler's certificate required
• Must effectively read, write, and speak English
• Physical ability to handle medium strength tasks
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
