Position Type:PermanentAs the Senior Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, you will be responsible for leading and executing initiatives with a strong focus on documentation, processes, tools, and training & development. That will require research, monitoring, and resolving/aligning market differences and gaps.You will play a key role in improving efficiency within Group Underwriting tools and processes, while supporting growth and persistency strategies.What You Will DoSupport the Group Underwriting leadership team by aligning processes and tools, including (but not limited to): Online GUM, Access, Renewal Template Quote Template, Manual Rates Calculator, Case Initiative Identifier, Execution of the Group Underwriting Best Practice roadmapLead and implement best practice initiatives within the Underwriting teamDesign and facilitate a training curriculum to support underwriters from entry level to experienced rolesConduct quality reviews of complex underwriting cases and identify opportunities for continuous improvementRelease the monthly Underwriting Bulletin when the Best Practice Analyst is unavailablePerform user acceptance testing (UAT) for underwriting toolsAct as a liaison with internal partners (e.G., EIS, Finance, IT) and lead or contribute to mini projects as requiredProvide guidance and support to the Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, as neededWhat You Need To SucceedPost-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field.Minimum 5 years of progressive Group Underwriting experience, including exposure to various funding arrangementsDemonstrated understanding of customer needs and underwriting processes,
