Lead and complete RFQs for switchgear after-sales service requests, including spare parts, field service, and projects.
Support customers with technical questions regarding quotations.
Ensure seamless order handovers for optimal project execution.
Create and review opportunities in the Salesforce database.
Identify and follow up on issues or requests for clarification in quotation documents.
Establish proposal schedules and milestones, requesting extensions when necessary.
Collaborate with Front-End Sales teams to develop competitive bids and identify risks.
Analyze customer specifications and coordinate input from factories and suppliers.
Schedule customer calls to clarify scope and ensure complete solutions.
Develop final pricing and complete quotation packages.
Respond to customer questions and revise offers based on feedback.
Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
College or university degree in engineering or a related technical field.
More than 5 years of experience in tendering, proposal preparation, or technical sales for electrical substation equipment and components.
Strong background in power systems and high-voltage (HV) technology, particularly HV switchgear.
Knowledge of transformer technology is an asset.
Proficiency with CRM and BI tools,
as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
English proficiency is mandatory.
French proficiency is an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates must already have work authorization permitting them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
