Our goal is to revolutionize the economics of recycled materials through innovative processing and materials technologies. Role Overview:
We seek an experienced chemical/process engineer with strong technical engineering skills, chemical and materials processing , structured problem-solving, and effective communication to join this dynamic, diverse, and forward-thinking technical team. You will play a pivotal role in translating the company’s technologies into large-scale facilities. You will support planning and execution of scale-up tasks, hardware de-risking, working closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure technical robustness and communication, and resolving challenges that arise during the project lifecycle. We operate on a hybrid schedule (4 days in the office, 1 day remote) to keep our collaboration tight and our momentum fast. Key Responsibilities
Complete engineering design calculations (heat & mass balances) and create typical engineering design deliverables, BFDs, PFDs, datasheets and reports etc. Support and lead scale-up tasks, including equipment design, development, testing, and optimization. Conduct on-site troubleshooting to address technical and operational issues.
Perform process diagnostics and structured problem-solving to ensure robust process design and performance Support process integration and planning for optimized operations. Develop clear and actionable technical documentation and maintain effective inter- and intra-team communication to ensure clarity and cross-team alignment. Improve engineering practices through detailed technical analysis and direct engagement with external equipment and process vendors. Foster a pro-active, hands-on culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with technical and business teams and other stakeholders to align technical developments with long‑term goals and strategies. What We Are Looking For
6+ years of process engineering, chemical engineering, or materials science, with strong expertise in chemical or materials processing Proven experience having direct involvement in supporting practical engineering projects, technology scale-up, process design and optimization, or engineering construction Ability to troubleshoot complex engineering challenges and translate technical data into actionable insights through direct engagement Excellent attention to detail, structured problem-solving skills, and a pro-active mindset Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams Experience in chemical recycling, polymer processing, or waste management is a plus Eligibility to work legally in Canada.
