This position is at the heart of our efforts to modernize systems, leverage advanced analytics tools like AI and machine learning, and deliver actionable insights that drive organizational success.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert business analysis services for complex BI initiatives.Lead the development of BI solutions, from project planning to implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.Collaborate with program areas, data architects, and developers to translate business needs into effective BI products.Drive modernization efforts, transitioning legacy systems to modern enterprise platforms while ensuring business continuity and data integrity.Facilitate workshops and strategic discussions with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.Design and execute change management strategies to promote adoption and readiness across divisions and partners.Support the development and testing of analytics and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL,
and R.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsUniversity graduation in a related field (Business, Computer Science) plus 4 years progressively responsible related experience as a Business Analyst, preferable in Business Intelligence (BI); or equivalent as described.Additional QualificationsDemonstrated knowledge of BI technologies, preferably Microsoft BI tools (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI).Programming languages such as SQL and R.AI and machine learning models, algorithms, training, deployment and tools.Experience in project management, change management, systems development, systems modernization, and data warehouse management.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including robust interpersonal and presentation skills.Strong facilitation, coordination, risk management, and governance-support capabilities.Knowledge of the department's goals, programs, policies and organizational structure.Ability to lead without formal authority, influence diverse partners, and communicate with tact and judgment.Equivalency1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or 1 year of experiencefor 1 year of education.Additional RequirementsFinal candidates will be required to undergo security screening.Any costs associated with obtaining the required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses will be the responsibility of the candidate.BenefitsAlberta Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP)Professional learning and development opportunitiesPositive workplace culture and work-life balanceLeadership and mentorship programs#J-18808-Ljbffr
