Join our dedicated team as a Child and Youth Worker in a hands-on, on-site environment. This role focuses on developing programs that enhance children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
We are seeking a committed Child and Youth Worker with 1-2 years of experience, ideally in group homes or child care centers. Your expertise in leading engaging activities and promoting creativity will be essential in fostering development. Collaboration with co-workers and community service providers is key to maintaining a secure and nurturing space for children.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement child-care programs for various developmental needs
• Lead storytelling, music, and local excursions for children
• Foster creativity through art, drama,
and physical play
• Ensure a safe and healthy workplace for children
• Build cooperative relationships with team members and community partners
Requirements:
• Other trades certificate or diploma
• 1-2 years of work experience with children
• Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification
• Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate
• Criminal record check clearance
Utilize your experience with children to create meaningful experiences for growth and support.
