Become part of the dedicated team at CAMH as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse in the CCC-6 inpatient service. Focus on holistic psychiatric nursing care with clients aged 18 and older.
This permanent position involves working 0.45 FTE on a 25-bed unit that supports clients experiencing the acute phase of mental health and addictions disorders. Collaborate within an inter-professional team to deliver client-centered care, engage in program development, and contribute to research activities. You will refine your skills with support from leadership during orientation involving 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the healthcare team
• Monitor mental health and substance-related disorders




• Assess mental status and physical health
• Facilitate group programs and mentoring
• Document client response to pharmaceutical interventions
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR certification required
• Pursuing CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing preferred
• Experience in psychiatric nursing is an asset
• Solid decision-making and organizational skills required
