The Quality Engineer also serves as the department’s technical lead and technical point of contact to the customer and actively represents Quality as a key member of the new model development team.1. Essential FunctionsDevelop new model APQP documentation (Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA)Develop initial recent model and mass-production operation standardsDevelop Quality requirements for new process equipment and check fixturesDevelop and administer new model trainingPerform Supplier quality functions (audit visits, PPAP approval,
etc.)Perform complex part dimensional analysis and reportingObtain customer approval for new model parts and changepointsDevelop in-process / SPC checks for mass-production based on customer requirementsDevelop requirements and drive improvements to Quality performance data captureAct as technical lead for quality concern investigationsAct as a technical point of contact for the customer as necessaryProvides technical support to Quality and Manufacturing operations as needed.2. Additional ResponsibilitiesAttend meetings and training sessions as required.Follow travel guidelines, including local and international travel, typically less than 10%, with trips lasting up to two weeks at a time.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Demonstrate flexibility and availability to work occasional weekday and weekend overtime based on project needs.3. Ensuring members have input towards developing goals and defining the steps to take to reach those goals.Recognition and Feedback- delivering effective feedback (both positive and corrective) that is immediate, focused, and relevant; the ability to receive feedback and apply it to promote growth and development.Conflict Resolution- finding common ground that enables everyone to work together peacefully when two or more individuals have different objectives, opinions, or styles.Cultural Modeling- consistently demonstrating the behaviours that support KCC values and encourage others to do the same.RequirementsCollege engineering diploma, university engineering degree, or equivalent experience.1-3 years of experience with an interest in the manufacturing/automotive industries, or College/University completion with co-op experience.Previous experience or familiarity with technical project work.Knowledge of injection molding and assembly processes is an asset.Ability to interpret engineering drawings.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD software (e.G., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Catia).Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (e.G., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).#J-18808-Ljbffr
