About the Position

The First Aid Instructor is responsible for planning, delivering, and evaluating Lifesaving Society Québec first aid training courses in accordance with provincial standards and certification requirements. The instructor provides a safe, engaging, and qualified learning environment while ensuring participants develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Main Responsibilities

Instruction and Course Delivery

- Teach Lifesaving Society Québec first aid courses, including Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications;
- Deliver course content following Lifesaving Society Québec standards, policies, and instructional guidelines;
- Demonstrate first aid, CPR, and emergency response techniques accurately and effectively;
- Facilitate both theoretical and practical learning activities;
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate participants of different ages, abilities, and learning styles.

Participant Evaluation





- Assess participant performance according to certification requirements;
- Provide constructive feedback to support skill development;
- Maintain accurate attendance records and evaluation documentation;
- Recommend successful candidates for certification.

Required Qualifications

- Current Lifesaving Society Québec First Aid Instructor certification;
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification;
- Current CPR Instructor certification (where applicable);
- Minimum 18 years of age;
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience teaching first aid, aquatics, recreation, or health and safety programs;
- Experience working with children, youth, and adults in educational settings;
- Bilingualism (French and English).

Status: Casual, Part-Time or Seasonal

Hourly rate: $54.56
