Role Description
The Import & Supply Chain Coordinator is a contract role responsible for supporting end-to-end import, logistics, and supply chain activities for food products. This hybrid position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating international shipments, preparing and reviewing import documentation (FSVP), tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery to distribution partners. The coordinator will monitor inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and work closely with operations and sales teams to align supply with demand. The role also involves maintaining accurate data in systems, communicating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers, and resolving logistical or service issues to support efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, and customers.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, track KPIs, and troubleshoot supply chain or inventory issues.
- Experience in Operations Management to coordinate workflows, optimize processes, and support day-to-day logistics activities.
- Practical Inventory Management skills to monitor stock levels, manage replenishment, and maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations and experience with FDA's Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) is a must
- Knowledge of import/export procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the food industry or FMCG sector is an asset.
- 2-5 years of experience in logistics, import operations, customer service, supply chain, or office administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

- Help ensure regulatory documentation remains organized and current.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, warehouses, and service providers.
- Contribute to the productive operation of the Charlotte office.
