Job Summary

The Research Intern is responsible for supporting Managers in the Research and Education division of Standards by conducting research on topics on pressing standards research and education issues. The Research Intern will support strategic initiatives by exploring practical ways of looking at new and long-standing challenges and will support the launch and management of new strategic research initiatives in the Explore Research Program. This role involves close collaboration with members of the Research and Education teams and entails supporting Research Managers with strategic initiatives to meet timelines and budget of the projects. Assists in managing stakeholder engagements, preparing for meetings, and could require the capacity to engage and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Education and Skills

- Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years experience in research and project management
- Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder ecosystems




- Adept at working in tandem with research and education staff to oversee a diverse portfolio of initiatives
- Capacity to synthesize information from various functions and departments to inform decision-making and project direction
- Candidates with proficiency in French will be given special consideration.

The typical hiring range for this position is $24.60–$31.48 CAD per hour. CSA Group reserves the right to determine the appropriate level within the band based on the student’s work-term year.
