KeyResponsibilities:

- CoordinatecomprehensiveHRfunctions,fromfull-cyclerecruitmentandonboardingtomaintainingaccurate,confidentialemployeerecords.
- SupportleadersandsupervisorsininterpretingandapplyingHRpolicies,collectiveagreements,andemploymentlegislation.
- Facilitateemployeeandlabourrelations,includinggrievanceadministrationandparticipationincollectivebargainingaspartoftheteam.
- Overseeworkplacehealthandsafetyprograms,ensuringcompliancewithlegislationandfosteringaproactivesafetyculture.
- ServeastheliaisonforJointHealthandSafetyCommittees,coordinatingmeetings,inspections,incidentinvestigations,andtraininginitiatives.
- ManageWSIBclaims,return-to-workprograms,modifiedduties,andworkplaceaccommodationprocesseseffectively.
- Administeremployeecompensationandbenefits,includingpensionenrollmentandcoordinationwithexternalproviders.




- Ensurethemunicipality'scompliancewithcriticallegislationsuchastheEmploymentStandardsActandtheOccupationalHealthandSafetyAct.
- CollaborateacrossdepartmentstosupportHR,healthandsafety,andbroadercorporateinitiatives.

Requirements&Qualifications;:

- Post-secondarydiplomainHumanResources,BusinessAdministration,OccupationalHealthandSafety,orarelatedfield.
- Fouryearsofrelatedhumanresourcesexperience,preferablyinamunicipal,publicsector,orunionizedenvironment.
- Demonstratedabilityinmanagingfull-cyclerecruitmentprocesses.
- Experienceinterpretingandapplyingcollectiveagreements,HRpolicies,andemploymentlegislation.
- Workingknowledgeofemployment-relatedlegislation(e.g.,EmploymentStandardsAct,OccupationalHealthandSafetyAct,HumanRightsCode).
- ProficiencyinHRbestpractices,includingemployeerelations,attendancemanagement,andworkplaceaccommodation.
- Strongorganizationalskillstomanagemultiplepriorities,maintainaccurateconfidentialrecords,andmeetdeadlines.
- Soundjudgment,discretion,andprofessionalismwhenhandlingsensitiveemployeeandworkplacematters.
- Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskillsforpreparingreports,correspondence,andengagingwithdiversestakeholders.
- ProficiencywithMicrosoftOffice,HRIS/payrollsystems,andrecordsmanagementsystems.
- CHRP/CHRLdesignationorCRSPcertificationconsideredasignificantasset.
