Title Lead- Mental Health and Wellness, Crisis and Emergency Response Salary $91,172 - $107,261 - $123,351 per year (pay range explained below) Contract Permanent Hours Monday – Friday 8am- 4pm Location Vancouver Island- Any of the FNHA Region Offices- Hybrid minimum 50% in the office. Travel within Vancouver Island is a requirement of this role.



About The Role Join a team dedicated to supporting the mental health, wellness, and resilience of First Nations communities during crises, emergencies, and recovery efforts. In this role, you will provide specialized mental health and toxic drug response expertise, working collaboratively with Nations, community leaders, health partners, and FNHA teams to coordinate culturally safe and trauma-informed supports. You will help develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, crisis response protocols, and recovery strategies that reflect community strengths and priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by strengthening community capacity, wellness, and long-term resilience across Vancouver Island. About You To be successful in this role you will have/be Education Bachelor’s degree in allied health, Behavioral, Social Science or Emergency Management field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Current registration with a Professional Regulatory Body preferred 3-5 years of progressive experience supporting mental health, substance use, and harm reduction initiatives, preferably within First Nations, Indigenous, rural, or remote community settings. Working at FNHA Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% 3 weeks’ vacation, which increases with service to 4 weeks, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 public holidays including National Indigenous People’s Day, National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, Easter Monday and Boxing Day 5 cultural days per year for non-union First Nations, Inuit, or Métis employees Access to group health benefits and a Health Care Spending
