In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing a spectrum of bodily injury and property claims. Your expertise will support colleagues and clients alike, providing essential legal advice and engaging in team-oriented litigation efforts. You will also partner with senior legal staff on more complex cases, enhancing the quality of service delivered by The Co-operators.
Key Responsibilities: • Oversee claims litigation processes from initiation to conclusion • Work with Claims department for litigation success • Research and assess complex legal matters • Advise on issues requiring higher-level oversight • Guide and mentor claims personnel
Requirements: • Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense or personal injury law • Law Degree (LLB, JD, or similar) • Registered with Ontario's legal regulatory body • Exceptional communication and analytical skills • Trial experience preferred
