Job Responsibilities
Creative & Campaign Development
- Translate creative briefs, campaign strategies, and marketing objectives into effective visual communications.
- Contribute to creative concept development, brainstorming, and visual exploration for campaigns, brands, and marketing initiatives.
- Design and produce creative assets for integrated marketing and advertising campaigns across print, web, digital, video, and other channels.
- Adapt campaign concepts and master creative into multiple sizes, formats, platforms, and placements while maintaining consistency and creative quality.
Digital & Web Design
- Design and build website pages, landing pages, campaign microsites, and other digital experiences using established brand and UX/UI best practices.
- Apply responsive design and user-experience principles, with consideration for Core Web Vitals and Google PageSpeed Insights performance standards.
Digital Advertising & Social Media
- Develop digital advertising artwork for platforms including Meta, display/programmatic, Pinterest, Reddit, and other digital media channels.
- Create organic and paid social media graphics, including static, carousel, animated, and short-form formats.
- Design email marketing graphics, templates, and other supporting campaign assets.
Print & Out-of-Home
- Design print advertising and marketing materials, including newspaper and magazine ads, brochures, direct mail, posters, signage, inserts, and other collateral.
- Develop creative for out-of-home advertising, including billboards, transit, digital displays, and other large-format applications.
Video & Motion
- Create, edit, and produce video content for digital advertising, social media, websites, presentations, and other marketing applications.
Brand & Visual Assets
- Apply established brand standards consistently across all creative materials, including typography, colour, imagery, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Support the development and evolution of brand identities, visual systems, templates, and brand guidelines.
- Source, select, and appropriately use photography, illustration, stock imagery, iconography, and other visual assets.
- Retouch, resize, manipulate, and optimize imagery for different media and production requirements.
Production, Quality & Asset Management
- Prepare production-ready artwork and files according to specifications for print vendors, media partners, digital platforms, and other external suppliers.
- Review and proof creative materials for accuracy, consistency, technical specifications, and overall quality before release.
- Apply accessibility principles to the design, including typography, colour contrast, readability, and visual hierarchy.
- Maintain organized working files, templates, and final assets using established naming conventions and file-management processes.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Collaborate with marketing, copywriting, digital media, program, and other internal teams to ensure creative supports campaign objectives and channel requirements.
- Participate in internal creative reviews and incorporate feedback accurately and efficiently.
- Manage multiple creative assignments simultaneously while meeting established production schedules and campaign deadlines.
- Stay current with design trends, digital platforms, advertising formats, production techniques, and emerging creative technologies.
- Support additional creative and marketing initiatives as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional graphic design, creative design or related experience, preferably within an agency, marketing department or a fast-paced in-house creative environment.
- 5+ years of experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premier - After Effects experience would be an asset
- 3+ years of experience with Canva
- 5+ years of experience in website build, advanced customization and troubleshooting. Using HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, Wordpress CMS and page builder tools.
- 2+ years of experience with Figma, using advanced tools such as components, variants, Auto Layout, variables, prototyping etc.
- Solid understanding of design layout optimization, visual communication, branding, and creative production.
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to stay current with emerging design trends, technologies, platforms, and creative tools.
