PIRS delivers accessible, inclusive, low-barrier programs for immigrant and refugee women and their children that create a sense of belonging, meaningful participation and leadership.The Community Navigator plays an important role in supporting refugee and asylum‑seeking women as they access settlement, employment, health, language, and community services. This position helps create welcoming pathways to connection, empowerment, and opportunity through individualized support, community outreach, and group facilitation.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCommunity NavigationProvide culturally responsive, trauma‑informed support to immigrant and refugee womenConnect participants to housing, health care, language, employment, and other settlement resourcesCoordinate referrals and follow‑up support to address barriers to service accessCollaboration & Community PartnershipsBuild relationships with community agencies and service providers to strengthen participant supportsRepresent the organization at community events and inter‑agency initiativesSupport outreach efforts in the development and distribution of community resource materialsDocumentation & ReportingMaintain accurate participant records, referrals,



and service documentationTrack outcomes and contribute to program reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with organizational policies related to confidentiality, safety, and participant well‑beingGroup FacilitationLead the coordination and recruitment of women’s support circles and group sessions to promote connection, peer learning, and emotional support among participantsDevelop engaging content and activities for participantsJOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONSRelevant post‑secondary education or a combination of education and experienceExperience working with immigrant, refugee, and asylum‑seeking communities (lived experience preferred)Fluency in the language of target populations (Farsi, Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Arabic preferred)Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship‑building skillsKnowledge of community, settlement,
