The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice on a wide range of sales trade practice matters, including but not limited to, pricing, shopper marketing, and revenue management. This role requires a leader with a law degree, a member in good standing of a provincial bar, and at least 8 years of experience in both law firm and in-house settings, preferably with a consumer packaged goods background. The Assistant General Counsel will be a key player in ensuring the alignment of legal risk with the company's business strategy, and will be involved in the review,
drafting, and negotiation of legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Key responsibilities for the Assistant General Counsel include leading a team, providing legal counsel and risk assessment to the Canadian sales teams, and representing the company in various legal matters.
