Royal Bank of Canada in RBC CENTRE, 155 WELLINGTON ST W:TORONTO is currently looking to hire a Associate Director, Digital Technology Architect, Capital market. We’re seeking someone who is self-motivated and works well with others. The successful candidate should be able to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time role.

- The candidate will be responsible for leading the architectural design and implementation of key digital capabilities, including security infrastructure (IdP platforms) and marketing technology such as Content Management platforms and Marketing Automation tools.
- The candidate will be responsible for driving the evolution and optimization of client authentication systems, ensuring security, reliability, and seamless user experience across digital touchpoints.
- The candidate will be responsible for driving technical evaluations of third-party technologies and products, and proposing, evaluating, and recommending solutions that align with business strategy and enterprise architecture.
- The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design and deployment of cloud-based infrastructure and applications using contemporary containerization technologies and compute resources.
- The candidate will be responsible for directing DevOps practices and security implementations across digital platforms, ensuring robust CI/CD pipelines and compliance with enterprise security standards.
- The candidate will be responsible for serving as a technical leader for cross-functional teams, translating business requirements into scalable architectural solutions.
- The candidate will be responsible for acting as a liaison between development teams, security, infrastructure,



and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and optimal solution delivery.
- The candidate must promote best practices in system design and cloud architecture while mentoring teams.

Job Requirements

- The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or a similar technical leadership role.
- The candidate must have deep expertise with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization, along with strong proficiency in Linux-based environments (RHEL) and system administration.
- The candidate must have extensive knowledge of IAM-related security capabilities, including authorization, authentication, user and credential management, role management, identity verification, and access control models such as RBAC and ABAC.
- The candidate must have hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, including container orchestration.
- The candidate must have a proven track record implementing DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- The candidate must have a solid understanding of security practices, including authentication systems, encryption, and compliance requirements.
- The candidate must possess hands‑on experience with marketing technology platforms such as Content Management Systems, Marketing Automation tools, or similar enterprise applications.
- The candidate must have strong leadership and communication skills,



with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- The candidate must have experience with specific marketing technology platforms, including Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Marketo, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- The candidate must be familiar with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- The candidate must hold certifications in cloud platforms such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect, or in security certifications like CISSP or CISM.
- The candidate must have experience working in financial services or highly regulated environments.
