Carmichael is looking for a Refrigeration technician to work in our scientific division. Experience on ultra low refrigeration and environmental chambers is an asset. This position is full time/permanent and starts immediately.

Salary Range:

Local 787 Journeyman Rates

Responsibilities

Maintaining and repairing refrigeration equipment for customers in the healthcare, laboratory and manufacturing industries

Performing on site calibrations for temperature, humidity, CO2 and speed

Putting together repair estimates and ordering parts where required

Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

Complying with service standards,



work instructions and customers' requirements

Assisting with customers' queries

Requirements

Hvac Refrigeration license

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Client focus; dependable; reliable; flexible

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working on Ultra-low freezers, laboratory fridges, environmental chambers, incubators, centrifuges, freeze dryers and other laboratory equipment is a benefit

Any applicable manufacturer training is an asset (Thermo Fisher, Thermotron, Eppendorf, Sheldon, PHCbi, etc.)

Willingness to learn new skills

Enhanced problem-solving abilities

Detailed documentation and positive communication skills
