Job Overview This is a permanent full-time salaried position, reporting to the Head of Aquatics, the Aquatics Coordinator supports the day-to-day coordination, administration and continuity of the Club's Aquatics Department.

The Coordinator works across the Aquatics portfolio, including children's swimming lessons, adult endurance programs, Swim Team and recreational swimming initiatives, leadership and certification courses, clinics,



events and other aquatic programming.

Salary range (per annum): $50,000 – $53,000, based on experience & qualifications.

Key Responsibilities The following outlines the primary responsibilities of this role, including but not limited to:

Coordinate the scheduling, administration and implementation of Aquatics programs, including swimming lessons, Adult Endurance, Swim Team, recreational swimming, leadership and certification courses, clinics, events and special programs.

Provide day-to-day operational direction and support to Deck Leads and the team members and help ensure consistent implementation of departmental standards and priorities.

Coordinate staff schedules, availability and coverage requirements in collaboration with the Head of Aquatics and Deck Leads.

Maintain accurate program schedules, participant lists, class rosters, instructor and coach assignments, enrollment information and waitlists.

Coordinate program changes and communicate timely updates to Members, employees, and other Club departments.

Monitor program enrollment, participation, capacity, operational requirements and Member feedback and provide recommendations to the Head of Aquatics.

Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Aquatics programs and initiatives.

Maintain accurate departmental records, including attendance, staff certifications, training documentation and program information.

Monitor required employee certifications and expiry dates and coordinate certification and training requirements.

Assist with payroll administration and ensure scheduling and payroll information is accurate and submitted in accordance with Club procedures.





Perform other Aquatics-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in aquatics, recreation, hospitality, customer service, administration, or a related field; experience in a swimming, recreation, fitness, or private club environment is considered an asset.

Minimum of two years’ experience teaching Swim for Life or Ultra Swim levels and Swim to Survive.

Strong organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Current aquatic certifications appropriate to the role, such as Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor/Lifesaving Instructor, First Aid/CPR, National Lifeguard

Additional LSS certifications considered an asset: Aquatic Supervisor or Aquatic Manager training, Certified Pool Operator, Intermediate First Aid Instructor, Examiner Mentor, National Lifeguard Instructor, and NCCP portfolio

Police Vulnerable Sector Check required.

Experience with scheduling, registration, booking, payroll, or recreation-management systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with solid working knowledge of Excel and Word.

Availability to work a flexible schedule based on operational requirements, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
