Description We are seeking a team oriented, professional and driven technician to join our Field Services Technical team. Our company specializes in a full-service offering in Security, Fire Alarm and Life Safety services. This can include, but is not limited to, the installation, repair and maintenance of various systems including: Fire Alarm, Fire Monitoring, Intrusion, Access Control, Video Surveillance, Pedestrian Control as well as Vehicle and Parking Systems and Structured Cabling & Networking.

Fire Monitoring of Canada Inc. (FMC) is a full-service ULC-listed monitoring company, with a core competency of monitoring premises required to have their fire alarm and sprinkler system monitored under applicable Codes and Standards. Monitoring and servicing customers throughout Ontario and across Canada, FMC is a premium provider of the services it offers.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarms and systems

Perform annual inspection of alarm monitoring equipment and others

Identify risk to customers and provide effective solutions

Conduct routine preventative maintenance on alarm systems





Monitor inventory of service parts

Qualifications:

Previous experience in fire alarm, monitoring and security installations, maintenance, or other related fields is a must.

Familiarity with hand and power tools

Ability to handle physical workload

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

Strong attention to detail

Position Requirements:

Must possess the following:

Be comfortable working with and troubleshooting hardware down to the component level

Have proven industry experience

Be highly organized, motivated and focused

Be capable of working independently

Be able to work well in a team

Be able to communicate fluently in English (written and oral)

Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record

Must undergo a security check

Definite Assets:

Be enrolled in or have CFAA and CANASA ATC certification

Previous industry experience

Networking experience

Experience with products such as DSC, Avigilon, Kantech, ICT, Salto and many others
