About Us
Ohata Resource Canada Inc. is an electronics recycling and e-scrap company based in Richmond, British Columbia. Our group has nearly 30 years of industry experience in Japan and continues to expand its operations in North America.
We are looking for a versatile and organized Digital Marketing & Administrative Coordinator who can manage a broad range of responsibilities across Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO, online content, social media, inventory records, and daily office administration.
This is a cross-functional, hands-on position within a small and growing international team. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute in all areas of the role rather than specialize in only one area. The ideal candidate combines practical digital marketing skills with strong writing, organization, data-entry, and administrative abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Google Ads & Digital Marketing
- Create, manage, monitor, and optimize Google Ads campaigns.
- Conduct keyword research and prepare effective ad copy.
- Maintain accurate campaign settings, budgets, targeting, keywords, and conversion actions.
- Monitor clicks, conversions, cost per click, and other campaign-performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve campaign performance and advertising results.
- Prepare clear performance reports and recommendations for management.
- Coordinate with management or technical support when website or conversion-tracking updates are required.
Google Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Use Google Analytics 4 to monitor website traffic, acquisition sources, user behaviour, and conversions.
- Review the performance of website pages, blog articles, advertising campaigns, and other online content.
- Identify traffic trends, performance changes, and potential tracking issues.
- Help confirm that Google Ads and Google Analytics data are being recorded accurately.
- Organize marketing data and prepare regular reports for management.
- Use campaign and website data to recommend improvements to advertising and content strategies.
SEO, Content & Social Media
- Research keywords and content topics related to electronics recycling, e-scrap, and the company’s purchasing services.
- Write, edit, format, and publish SEO-focused blog articles and website content.
- Apply on-page SEO practices, including headings, keyword placement, meta titles, meta descriptions, internal links, and image alt text.
- Research technical topics and ensure published information is clear, accurate, and supported by reliable sources.
- Create, schedule, and publish skilled content for the company’s LinkedIn Page, Google Business Profile, and other online platforms.
- Develop content ideas and maintain consistent blog and social media posting schedules.
- Take photos and short videos of warehouse operations, equipment, inventory, purchases, and company activities.
- Create and edit visual content using Canva and basic photo- or video-editing tools.
- Monitor content performance, audience engagement, and customer responses.
- Ensure that published prices, company information, and service details remain accurate and up to date.
- Assist with email marketing, promotional campaigns, and other marketing projects.
Inventory & Administrative Support
- Enter purchasing and inventory information into the company’s inventory management system.
- Maintain accurate customer, vendor, inventory, and transaction records.
- Review information carefully before submitting records, reports, or documents.
- Assist with inventory counts and basic inventory reconciliation.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding incoming and outgoing materials.
- Organize electronic and paper records according to company procedures.
- Prepare basic documents, spreadsheets, reports, and business correspondence.
- Respond professionally to general emails, messages, and inquiries.
- Support management with general office and administrative duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in digital marketing, marketing coordination, content creation, office administration, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience creating, managing, and reviewing Google Ads campaigns.
- Hands-on experience using Google Analytics 4 to analyze website and campaign performance.
- Ability to understand and report on website traffic, clicks, conversions, cost per click, and other marketing metrics.
- Experience with SEO writing, keyword research, and basic on-page SEO.
- Professional writing or content-creation experience, including blogs, website content, social media posts, or marketing copy.
- Experience creating and publishing content for LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, or other online business platforms.
- Experience using Canva and basic photo- or video-editing tools.
- Experience with office administration, data entry, spreadsheets, and record management.
- Solid written English, including grammar, editing, proofreading, research, and fact-checking skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple marketing and administrative responsibilities and prioritize daily tasks.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
A driver’s licence is not required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- A current Google Analytics Certification.
- A current Google Ads certification.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, Google Search Console, or other SEO tools.
- Experience using a content management system to publish website or blog content.
- Experience with email marketing or other digital marketing campaigns.
- Experience in inventory management, customer service, or operations support.
- Experience writing about recycling, electronics, technology, sustainability, or another technical industry.
- Japanese or Chinese language skills are an asset.
- Experience working in a multilingual or international business environment is an asset.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week.
- 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., including a one-hour unpaid break.
- Regular workdays are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and one weekend day.
- The weekend workday will be either Saturday or Sunday, based on operational needs.
- Weekend availability is required.
- Regular overtime is not expected.
Compensation & Benefits
- CAD $22.00–$28.00 per hour.
- The starting rate during the three-month probationary period is CAD $22.00 per hour.
- Upon successful completion of probation, compensation will be reviewed and may be adjusted within the advertised range based on performance, qualifications, responsibilities, and business needs.
