Floors is searching for a Director of Finance to strengthen financial leadership, provide greater insight into business performance, and help build the systems and processes needed to support continued profitable growth.

The Role:

The Director of Finance will be a visible and influential leader across the organization, with full ownership of the day-to-day finance function. As a key member of the leadership team, this person will lead and develop an experienced finance team, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and bring financial insight and sound judgment to business decisions. The Director will have a key leadership role in the implementation of NetSuite, strengthen financial processes and controls, manage risk, and provide the insight needed to support the company’s continued growth.

The Responsibilities:

- Take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, including financial reporting, payables, collections, cash management and financial discipline.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly statements, cash flow reporting and executive reporting.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting, providing clear visibility into business drivers and expected results.
- Develop meaningful financial and operating KPIs that provide leadership with timely insight into performance.
- Be a strategic finance partner to the President and leadership team, bringing financial insight and sound judgment to key business decisions.
- Analyze profitability, costs, trends and growth opportunities, translating financial information into clear recommendations.




- Partner with sales and operations to support profitable growth while managing financial and contractual risk.
- Provide financial oversight of project-based work, including project accounting, progress billing, collections, credit risk, lien timelines and contractual obligations.
- Maintain strong internal controls and oversee audit, compliance, insurance and other financial risk-management activities.
- Identify financial and contractual risks early and work collaboratively with the business to develop practical solutions.
- Have a key leadership role in the successful implementation of NetSuite, working with internal and external resources.
- Use NetSuite to strengthen and standardize financial processes, reporting and data quality while reducing manual work and improving scalability.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, reporting and efficiency across the organization.

The Requirements:

- 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including senior-level responsibility for a finance function and team.
- CPA designation preferred, combined with strong technical accounting expertise in financial reporting, controls, cash flow and risk management. Experience working in public practice is a solid asset.
- Proven people leader with the ability to lead and develop an experienced finance team, build trust and create accountability.
- Construction or closely related project-based industry experience, with practical knowledge of project accounting, contracts, credit and collections, lien timelines and financial risk.
- Excellent communication, listening and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance, sales, operations, senior leadership and ownership.
- A visible,



approachable and collaborative leadership style, with the ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment and take full ownership of the finance function.
- Strong strategic and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret financial information, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and translate the numbers into meaningful business insight.
- Solid business judgment, with the ability to manage financial and contractual risk while working collaboratively with sales and operations to support profitable growth.
- Demonstrated experience improving financial systems, processes, controls and reporting to create greater efficiency, consistency and scalability.
- Successful track record leading or playing a significant role in an ERP implementation, NetSuite implementation experience is a strong asset.
- Experience supporting a business through growth and change, including organic growth, acquisitions or times of significant business evolution.
- Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and performance reporting.
