Role Description The Drywall Boarder role is a full-time, on-site position based in Calgary, AB.

The Drywall

Boarder is responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and building codes. Day-to-day tasks include securing boards to framing, ensuring accurate alignment and smooth surfaces, taping and preparing joints for finishers, and coordinating with site supervisors and other trades to maintain project schedules. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work area, using hand and power tools properly, and following company safety procedures and industry standards.





The Drywall

Boarder will contribute to both commercial and residential projects, supporting high-quality installation from rough framing through to finish.

Qualifications

- Strong framing and carpentry skills relevant to preparing structures for drywall installation.
- Experience with plastering and remodeling to support surface preparation and repair work.
- Background in commercial construction, including knowledge of site protocols and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements accurately.
- Proficient use of hand and power tools commonly used in drywall installation.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to OH&S; regulations and company policies.
- Physical ability to lift materials, work on ladders or scaffolding, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Previous experience as a drywall boarder or similar trade role; apprenticeship or trade certification is an asset.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites in the Calgary area and flexibility to work standard construction hours.
