The Naval System's Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that designs, develops and tests electronic systems for the JSS program. The work will involve updating and reviewing Engineering work products as well as supporting production activities. Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts and practices is beneficial. A demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and processes is considered an asset.Location: Vancouver, British ColumbiaJob Type: ContractorWorking Arrangement : On-site Responsibilities RF Communication systems consist of (but is not limited to) the following: HF V/UHF Damage Control Communication System (DCCS) – TETRA basedIn their efforts to develop and sustain Naval systems, Systems Engineers are called upon to integrate a variety of sensors, software, firmware, and apps on commercial and military platforms. The essential functions and responsibilities of a Systems Engineer includeTailor the system engineering process, practices and toolsProvide timely and accurate status updatesDevelop preliminary and detailed designs for system and subsystem elementsReview and validate internal and subcontractor designs, plans, and schedulesDeliverables, Identify,characterize,
