About the Role
We are a growing accounting and tax advisory firm serving individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, and privately held businesses across the GTA, with a significant Chinese-speaking client base. We're looking for a Senior Accountant with Canadian public accounting experience who can independently manage accounting and tax files, communicate confidently with clients, and take ownership of assignments from start to finish — someone who wants to grow beyond compliance work into solid Canadian tax and planning expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare T1 and T2 returns
Prepare year-end financial statements and working papers
Handle compilation engagements and corporate accounting files
Perform account reconciliations and adjusting entries
Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting and tax matters
Assist with CRA correspondence, notices, and reassessments
Qualifications
Required
3 years of experience in a Canadian public accounting / CPA firm
Hands-on experience with T1 and T2 preparation
Experience working directly with small and medium-sized business clients
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple files
Preferred
Experience with TaxCycle, CaseWare and/or QuickBooks
Robust English communication skills
Compilation engagement experience
Chinese language skills (to support our Chinese-speaking client base)
