As a Direct Support Skilled, support individuals with developmental disabilities in their journey towards independence. Help enhance their community involvement and overall quality of life. This role focuses on providing essential support tailored to individual needs.
You will collaborate with families and community members to ensure that each person receives the help they need to thrive. Key competencies include robust advocacy, relationship-building, and the ability to promote client well-being. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate meaningful engagement in community activities
Help individuals develop and maintain social connections
Support personal care and decision-making processes
Collaborate with community organizations to promote inclusivity
Enhance individual skills through structured support plans Requirements:
Diploma in Human Services with at least 2 years of direct support
Current First Aid & CPR Level C certification
Valid driver’s license is necessary
Background in community settings preferred
