About the Role
We're looking for a solid math tutor to support a Grade 10 AP Math student. The primary focus is academic support through the AP coursework, with a secondary focus on helping the student transition smoothly into high school more broadly.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver original lesson plans aligned with the Ontario curriculum
Support the student through current AP Math coursework
Identify and supplement areas of weakness, and provide enrichment where the student is already strong
Help the student build habits and strategies for a successful high school transition
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on progress
Requirements
Solid knowledge of Grade 10 AP Math and the Ontario curriculum
Experience creating original lesson plans, not just following a textbook
Willing to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check upon hiring
Available afternoons/evenings, weekdays or weekends
Reliable and able to work in-person in Mississauga
