The Building Operator is a key role reporting to the Facilities Manager, focusing on the efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining educational facilities that support over a thousand students and staff. Emphasizing safety and compliance, you will also manage contractors and routine inspections to ensure all requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain all building systems, including HVAC and plumbing
• Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance tasks




• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
• Supervise contractors for maintenance and repair work
• Assist with emergency procedures and seasonal operations
Requirements:
• Technical diploma or certification in related discipline
• 3-5 years experience in facility maintenance
• Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
