Pay: starting $21.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours:37.5 hours per week. Weekends required.
Who we are
Aromatears is a flower and DIY workshop studio with two locations in Metro Vancouver. We make daily bouquets and arrangements, do flowers for weddings and corporate events, and run hands-on floral classes for the public.
Who we need An experienced florist who can:
Design beautiful bouquets and arrangements, quickly and consistently
Handle a busy day without losing quality
Work at both of our stores
Teach small DIY classes
Talk with customers and make them feel welcome
What you'll do each week
Design and production
Make daily bouquets, arrangements, and custom orders
Process and condition fresh flowers
Prepare flowers and decor for weddings, corporate events, and activations
Store and inventory
Keep the coolers, workspace, and store clean and organized
Track inventory and help with product orders
Serve walk-in customers
Teaching
Lead or assist DIY floral classes (we'll train you on our class format)
Must have
At least 2 years full-time,
or 3 years part time, floral design experience in a retail flower shop
Experience with wedding or event florals
Valid BC driver's licence
Available to work weekends
Clear written and spoken English
Comfortable using standard floral tools and equipment
Nice to have
Experience teaching or leading workshops
Experience with inventory or point-of-sale systems
Sympathy and funeral design experience
