Under the direction of the Front of House Management Team, the Polisher is responsible for cleaning, polishing, and properly storing all front-of-house glassware and utensils while maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the dish area and dishwashing equipment.
The day to day:
- Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently and safely.
- Wash and clean all glassware, flatware, and front-of-house utensils.
- Polish glassware and flatware to ensure they are clean and presentation-ready.
- Clean and sanitize dishwasher mats, dish carts, dish racks, and surrounding work areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall condition of the dish area throughout the shift.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking supplies and products as required.
- Safely handle, use, and store cleaning products in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform general dish area maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, organizing, and garbage removal.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
- Support the Front of House team with additional cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Previous experience and qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dishwasher, polishing, or similar hospitality role is considered an asset.
- Solid attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to follow direction, work effectively as part of a team,
and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
- Ability to remain standing and active for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
This is a full time position
