Experienced Cook required for a 40-space child care centre serving preschoolers, located in Riverside South. The Cook is responsible for planning, preparing and serving morning/afternoon snack and lunch to preschoolers.

This is a fixed-term position (maternity leave replacement); Monday to Friday, 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. shift.

Ability to manage kitchen in strict compliance with Ottawa Public Health, the Child Care & Early Years Act and all other applicable regulations. Ability to plan, shop and budget for weekly menus that are allergy-aware and nutritious, as per the Canada Food Guide.

Valid First Aid and CPR; up-to-date immunizations, Negative Criminal Records Check for the Vulnerable Sector; Valid driver's license (and vehicle); Food Handler Training Certificate required.
