Forward Insurance Managers Ltd. is a Canadian InsurTech Managing General Agent (MGA) partnering with brokers and insurers to deliver specialized coverage solutions. We're growing our Vancouver team and looking for a detail-oriented Claims Assistant to support our claims function.

Location: Vancouver, BC

Key Accountabilities

● Open, set up, and maintain claim files in the claims management system, ensuring accurate policy and loss data

● Enter and update claim information tasks in a timely manner

● Process incoming claim correspondence, documents, and reports accordingly

● Track claim status and follow up on outstanding items to support timely resolution

● Assist examiners with reserve entries and payment requests

● Prepare assignment letters, opening and closing notices, and other standard claims correspondence

● Maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

● Support reporting on claim volumes, aging, and cycle times as needed

● Provide general administrative support to the claims department

Qualifications

● High school diploma required; post-secondary education in business administration, insurance, or a related field is an asset





● 1–3 years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or claims support role; insurance industry experience is an asset

● Enrollment in or willingness to pursue CIP (Chartered Insurance Qualified) designation is an asset

● Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with claims management systems is an asset

● Solid written and verbal communication skills

● Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment

● A proactive, customer-service-oriented approach

Salary Range: CAD $46,000–$56,000

Pay: $46,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
