Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a positive first impression
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to minimize wait times
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism and courtesy, providing information or assistance as needed
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting areas
- Assist with guest inquiries, directions, and special requests to enhance their experience
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS to manage reservations or seating logs accurately
Skills
- Proven experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality roles within a restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs gracefully
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant procedures
- Ability to operate POS systems like Micros POS confidently
- Knowledge of hospitality standards and food service best practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a quick-paced workplace while maintaining professionalism
