Role Description We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented and licensed 308A Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal components used in various construction and renovation projects. The role involves interpreting blueprints, collaborating with supervisors and other trades, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The Sheet Metal Worker will also inspect completed work, perform routine equipment checks, and support project timelines by completing tasks efficiently and accurately.
Job Responsibilities:
Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components,
including ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, partition frames, air and heat ducts, material handling systems, roof decking, and sheet metal structures, using riveting, welding, soldering, and other appropriate joining methods.
Measure, cut, and shape metal sheets using hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as shears, brakes, and rollers.
Conduct inspections and tests to ensure components meet quality and safety standards.
Maintain and repair sheet metal products and systems as needed.
Adhere to workplace safety standards and regulations, including proper handling of tools and materials.
Skills and Qualifications:
Should have at least 4 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Worker on high-rise residential and commercial construction projects.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
Strong knowledge of HVAC ductwork systems and fabrication techniques.
Ability to use hand and power tools, including shears, brakes, and welding equipment.
