Become a Casual Utility Worker with Cowichan Valley Regional District at Cowichan Lake Recreation. Engage in a variety of maintenance tasks, from ice maintenance to weld repairs. This casual, on-call role works under the guidance of the Facility Operations Manager. You'll be responsible for a range of skilled and semi-skilled duties in facility maintenance. Flexibility in your availability for shifts during evenings and weekends is a must to meet operational needs. Key Responsibilities:
Perform ice maintenance and facility cleaning
Carry out plumbing, painting, and flooring tasks
Work on refrigeration and electrical systems
Assist with carpentry and mechanical projects
Follow safety protocols to maintain facility standards Requirements:
High School graduation or equivalent work experience
Minimum one year in recreational facility maintenance
WHMIS certification provided by employer
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
